The European Open Science Cloud: INDIGO at the Helix Nebula Open Day Event

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Cloud computing, innovation and open science have become European priorities and now is the time to turn political will into functioning services. Many stakeholder groups can contribute to this goal and so the theme of this Helix Nebula Open Day event will be to converge on a model for the European open science cloud that can be widely accepted by research infrastructures and their user communities (from the public and private sectors) and value chains, the long tail of science, service providers and funding agencies.

Davide Salomoni, INFN and INDIGO-DataCloud coordinator, will present the status of the roadmap towards INDIGO-DataCloud Release at the Helix Nebula Open Day Event. The event will be also the occasion to present the recent outcomes of the joint exercise on how H2020 e-Infrastructure projects help researchers, promoted by the eInfrastructure Unit of DG CNECT and to which INDIGO-DataCloud, together with several other e-infrastructure in Europe, has been asked to contribute.

When: Wednesday, 20 January 2016 from 09:00 to 23:10 (Europe/Zurich)
Where: EMBL, Heidelberg, Germany ( ATC Klaus Tschira Auditorium )

The event is part of the Helix Nebula 7th General Assembly hosted by EMBL in Heidelberg on 19 -21 January. More information are available here
